A nation of murtads
Begrudgingly I have to accept the fact that yet another person had decided to leave the body of the ummah and while I agree with the conclusions on why the Shariah Court in Penang approved the application of apostasy in the aforementioned case, I lament the fact that we still do not have any proper legislation to deal with apostasy and apostates from Islam in particular. In this particular case, there is evidence that she was never exposed to the proper teachings of Islam (which is where the sole blame lies with MAIPP, PERKIM, MACMA, etc., and no one else) and thus this judgement is correct. But there is, of course, the issue of another “Siti Fatimah” in Malacca who was raised as a Muslim and of course, Lina Joy who was also a born Muslim in the first place.
Let it be clear that there is no way the Muslim ummah should ever accept Muslims committing the heinous sin of apostasy and there is only one punishment for that: Man badala deenahu, faqthuluhu!

Hello bruder,
How would you feel if americans forbid their citizens from leaving christianity and converting to islam? Anybody who did would be imprisoned.
I'm sure if the americans did that all the muslims would be rioting in the streets, burning american flags, boycotting coca cola, burning down mcdonalds outlets….
[MENJ: Then the legal status of United States will change from Dar al-Ahd (Abode of the Covenant) to Dar al-Harb (Abode of War) and Muslims are encouraged to emigrate from the US to Muslim nations. No big deal for us.]
So do unto others what you would want others to do unto you.
[MENJ: I am not a Christian so I don't give a fuck about your silly rules. No need to impose your brand of ethics upon mine, I find that OFFENSIVE.]
And by the way- do you think that if you make it illegal for people to declare that they've left islam that they'll still be muslims in their hearts? I really doubt it. They'd just be a bunch of munafiks.
[MENJ: We already have munafiqs running around and in the legal understanding, munafiqs are not kaafirs and are still considered as Muslims. So I do not understand the point you are trying to make.]
That should be the title of your next posting.
A nation of munafiks.
)
[MENJ: In fact I plan to very soon.]
