“Barang Naik” strikes back

This guy certainly doesn’t know how to take the hint. He was nearly wiped out in the last election but today he gave us a “gift” of RM2.70 per litre for petrol, up from RM1.92 per litre. Effective today about two hours ago. This price hike really took me by surprise. That is a really significant increase, its no joke at all. Personally for me, at least, it will have no effect on me as I run my business from home and I do not use the car except for running errands or going to the bank. Plus, I earn in USD, geddit? USD is getting stronger these past few days and I’m really glad of that.
However, I sympathise with the lower-income and middle-income group who have no choice but to use their vehicles to travel to work or other business. It just goes to show how out-of-touch this Abdullah Administration is with the people. The irony is that yesterday, the Minister for Internal Trade and Consumer Affairs announced that the restructuring of subsidies will only come into effect in August. Today we are handed the “gift” of price hike.
Do you really want this flip-flop person to run this country??!!

RM 50 seorang, kosnya hanya 13.8 bilion setahun sahaja.

unfortunately my friend, they’re not that stupid. our gov know what they’re doing. if you noticed, in the last few weeks, we had crisis with beras and gov suggested that they should increase subsidy for foods rather than subsidy for petrol + diesel because people can’t survive without food, right? that’s their argument. in fact, they know exactly that each time the gas price increases, our living cost will increase as well except now all they can say is that there is nothing that they can do about it because market price for gas is skyrocket and they already give subsidy for foods.

I thought only global value of USD raise but not the exchange rate raise? I don’t understand, when Badawi become PM, thought I can have a better living, but it’s another way round now
