No surprise at all

August 10th, 2008

I am not surprised that there would be these so-called “know-alls” who would label yesterday’s success of closing down a blatantly anti-Islamic forum as the result of “mob rule”. These people think they can speak for Islam, but the protesters who attended yesterday’s protest were indeed voicing the feelings of the Muslims on the ground about the forum. I have seen the video of the protest and some of the leaders who organised the protest were sane and rational individuals, although the same cannot be said for one or two individuals who attended and tried to pick a fight with another protester.

Overall, the protest was done peacefully and kudos goes to the level-headed people such as YB Salahuddin Ayub and YB Zulkifli Noordin for coordinating the protest as it should. I would hardly call that “mob mentality”, but those who were frustrated that their attempts to destroy Islam has failed (in this round, that is!) would certainly be wont to say so. This is a democratic country, you idiots, anyone can mount a street protest and you cannot do naught about it.

For the record, I wanted to join the protest but because I had a personal matter to attend to I couldn’t make it.

  1. Come on man, you never join any protest before. No action, talk only.

[MENJ: Why don't you just shut up? I have participated in protests before, asshole. Anonymous cowards like you would not know that at all.]
