  • Out with old insurance and in with the new

A tree fell on the roof of my home after a storm, and it knocked some pieces of my roof off. I thought my home insurance plan would pay for it, but I was sadly mistaken. The plan only covered some of the damage, and I didn’t have the money to pay for the rest of it. It was a while before I was able to get the full repairs done. After that, I decided to part ways with my insurance company, because they weren’t doing enough for me. I looked on the Internet for more information about insurance companies so I could find one that actually takes care of me in a time of need.

Through thorough research, list making, and getting quotes and comparisons, I was able to find a company that covered everything I wanted. This got me thinking about the other insurance policies I had. There were some areas in my plans that didn’t cover everything that might possibly come my way. I got worried about this, because if something happened, I would be in a situation where I would have to pay out of pocket, and with my limited income, I couldn’t afford to do that again.

First, I changed my health insurance policy. I got a lower deductible and premium, and now instead of having copay doctor visits, I get free ones. I also changed my life insurance policy to one that pays out more. I changed my car insurance to give me more security in case of a car wreck. With the way people are driving these days, I can’t be too careful with the kind of car insurance I have. Most people don’t really think about changing their insurance policies until it’s too late, and I used to be one of these people. I had to have a life changing situation happen to open my eyes.
