Realisation
Before I started arranging the books on my bookshelf, I never did realise how many Bibles and Bible textual criticism books I really do have in my possession. I still don’t have in my possession some titles that I have been searching for some time, but on the whole I think I am quite satisfied with what I have. I most certainly can daresay that I probably own the most extensive collection of material related to Comparative Religion and Islamics in the area of BTHO.
Books on the Bible and textual criticism of the Bible:

Also in my collection (see picture below) are the Bibles, of varying versions. I have English, Arabic and Bahasa Melayu/Indonesia Bibles. The Protestants have 66 books and the Catholics have 72. The irony is that they cannot even agree on the number of books that should be contained in the “Bible” and yet they claim that it is ‘inspired’, hah!

Of interest, it should be noted that even the Bahasa Melayu Alkitab (Bible) and Bahasa Indonesia Alkitab differ in the translation of some passages which I do not currently recall at the moment. But I do remember that one verse in the BM version has the word “nyamuk” in it and that very same verse in the Indonesian Bible translated the very same word as “lalat”. Hmm…I wonder if they actually know the difference between the two?
