    Sandiwara in Perak

Judging from the reports that I have been reading since today afternoon at The Malaysian Insider and everywhere else, it is already quite certain that the Pakatan state government will fall and Babi Negara (BN) is set to take over the state through the backdoor. I am not counting on any dissolving of the State Assembly either, as that possibly has dimmed with each passing hour.

And we have those “friends” from PKR and DAP to thank for this “change”. You don’t see any PAS assembymen defecting in this debacle, this whole thing started because of the other two “partners”. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

    1. Thank god these 'friends' who jumped over are in a minority, eh. Or would you rather have PAS worked with UMNO in Perak?

[MENJ: "Minority" or not, the reality is that those "friends" in DAP and PKR have no morals. Have you seen anyone from PAS hopping around yet?]

    2. Hm- interesting.

Couldn’t it be that no one from PAS jumps because they wouldn’t know where to jump to? Who would take them?

[MENJ: Try reading up Malaysian history a little, Andreas. PAS is no stranger to defections in the past, many state assemblymen have hopped to UMNO during the 1950s forcing the collapse of the Terengganu state government and there were attempts in the 1960s to force PAS assemblymen to hop to UMNO. "Who would take them" was never the issue.]

May be these guys left because they were really unhappy with PKR? Or they way PAS is conducting itself after the election, like again bringing up old issues that were thought to be forgotten already? You know what I am talking about!

[MENJ: Nothing to do with Perak and in light of the recent victory at Kuala Terengganu, the issue is moot.]

There are so many reasons why things change and instead of looking to blame someone, let’s take alook what can be done now? Where are the solutions to other important problems that the country faces? Political infigthing is not the way to go forward, don’t you think?

[MENJ: This breakdown was caused by the other two "parties", Najib just took advantage of the situation. So who do we blame then?]

    3. Right after the last election, DAP clearly assumed that their man will be MB since they have the numbers compared to PAS and PKR. Unfortunately for then and fortunately for the Malays, the Perak constitution states that an MB must be a Malay. The DAP protested to this and they even wanted to boycott the swearing in ceremony of the MB. They find weird that a party with the most number of seats can't have their man as MB. So clearly , without the Sultan , Nizar will never be MB.

Earlier, when DAP accepted that they can't be the MB, the DAP wanted Jamaluddin the postman of PKR to be MB because they know that with this postman as MB , the DAP can easily manipulate him and he can be their puppet. But the Sultan will not have this. Thanks Allah for the Sultan. He insists that the MB must be someone with a sound educational background, and so we have Nizar as MB. So you see again, Nizar from PAS will never be the MB if not for the Sultan insistence. Nizar does not the support of the rakyat but he has the support of the Sultan. Without the Sultan's support, Nizar will never be the MB.

Now , the table turned and the support of the Sultan is with Zamby. Therefore Nizar should support him just like Zambry support him then. Both of them need the support of the Sultan as MB. BUt Nizar have lost that support.

[MENJ: Waving RM50 million in front of three ADUNs in order to entice them to give "support" is hardly fair or democratic.]
