Entrepreneur Jason Hope has a passion for philanthropy in the areas of education, scientific research, biotechnology and disease cure. Jason Hope’s goal is to help build educational equality by giving undeserved schools and local students in Phoenix the opportunities they deserve. He believes education is not a privilege but a right for every student regardless of their socioeconomic background. In fact, Jason Hope recently made a donation to Teach for America’s Phoenix chapter that benefits the organization’s Sponsor A Teacher program. This program helps with the recruitment, training and support for its Phoenix corps where Jason Hope has the opportunity to witness the impact of his donation through classroom visits and interactions with the corps members.

Very interesting read indeed from Alexander Cockburn about the realities of “modern” America. Note especially this:

…the suicide rate among middle-aged Americans has reached its highest point in at least 25 years. The rate rose by about 20 per cent between 1999 and 2004 for those aged 45 through 54 – far more than among younger adults, whose own suicide stats are also on the rise.

The previous high was in 1982, a year when there was a terrible farm crisis in the Midwest.

If it wasn’t obvious to you before, it certainly is now. Its not that we do not know about this Christian State before, but this is certainly damning evidence.

I’m going to the Immigration Department later this week to apply for a Malaysian passport. Earlier today, I went to the office to enquire about how do I go about applying for one. So they gave me the form (had to pay 1 Ringgit for that), told me to bring several documents, bla, bla, bla and since I was born in the U S of A, they require me to bring proof of entry into Malaya.

So I went back home and poked around for the documents.
