Critical Thoughts

When I was 20 years old, I always wondered what it would be like when I reach 30. Today, I now know the answer to that. I certainly don’t feel any older at 30 but I do realise that I have really changed over the years. Mostly due to the past experiences and tribulations of life that I had to go through for the past 29 years. I now have a business, someone whom I am going to marry very soon, and a strong activist streak that I have dedicated my life to.

I realise that a recent enemy of Islam met his demise in a car accident not too long ago, and he was way younger than me. This makes me further realise that my purpose on this earth is to continue the struggle against the enemies of Islam, and to see the victory of Islam over all its foes. For this, I am truly thankful for the bounty that the Rabb has provided to me, for there is no Rabb except for Him.

Ameen, ameen, thumma ameen.

“Surely my prayer, my sacrifices, my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.” (Qur’an, 6:162)

There will be several Islamic projects, some new and others resurrected, that I am planning to work on this year and shake the very foundation of the internet world. One of them is BismikaAllahuma, which is expected to be ready for a 2010 reboot. There is another site I am working on which will be the twin sister of the site, but I am not going to reveal it at the moment.

So I am just a year away before entering my 30′s and I don’t feel any different from when I was at 19. But things have changed a lot for me since then and I have changed with the times as well. Like the water that flows in the river, change is a due process that is impossible to stop. You simply adapt and change with the times without realising.

My situation has changed (I now have a fiancee in tow and a business to run) but my Islamist fikrah has remained resolute and my desire to counter and destroy the Christian missionaries and their allies have never been stronger. Insya Allah, this resolve will be translated into further action in the days to come.

Not a real lightsaber, unfortunately, and its all air. Literally.

It was on the historic day of 8th March too [of course this was around 2pm, so we did not know how historic it will be until several hours later]. Photos surrounding the occasion can be seen here. So its my birthday today. I do appreciate the well-wishes I’ve received from some people and I thank you very much that you remembered my birthday, because I nearly forgotten about mine. Anyway, I certainly do not need any New York City Brow Lifts as a birthday present but of course I do not mind if anyone gives me something else if he or she thinks I deserve a present, that is. I hope this will be the landmark year where a new direction in my life comes true…or to be more specific, my fondest wish is to be married to the one I love. Basically, we have already agreed to do so within this year if God so wills it, pending an offer (if she gets it) to further her education for a Masters degree in Australia.

Still too early to say whether this will be conclusive I guess, but there is definitely a good chance that an engagement will be held in either June or July. We just have to wait and see for it to happen.
