Critical Thoughts

Something happened to one of the neighbours and her child this afternoon just as my father and I were passing through to get to the mosque for the Jumu’ah prayers. For what it was worth, my father and I did our part by sending them to the hospital but in the end, Allah had willed it that a life has to be taken.

Inna lillahi wa inna illayhi raaji’un for the unnamed child. We will be visiting the family tonight to convey our condolences. I think that is more important at the moment than to entertain idiots with sickness in their heads and hatred in their hearts.

I knew of the assassination and her passing a mere few hours after the initial attack. Any such crime is always reprehensible, no matter the motivation behind it. My deepest condolences to her family and the people of Pakistan for their loss.

And yet again, we have the same boogeyman blamed for this crime.
