A belated Eid Mubarak! to all Muslims on the ocassion of Eid al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice) which fell on last Friday (or Saturday for some Muslim nations). I apologise for not mentioning about this earlier, but I had been busy with the festivities.
As I have written on the topic almost two years ago, things does not seem to have changed much since then.
Critical Thoughts will be on a hiatus in commemorating this auspicious event. In the meantime, check out Ocular Perspectives, the “new” photoblog I have set up with the domain ibnjuferi.org. With the unveiling of this photoblog, I now own all three major TLDs (.com, .org and .net) for the domain name ibnjuferi.
I would like to take the opportunity to wish all Muslims a very joyous Eid Mubarak! on occassion of Eid-al-Fitri, 1st of Shawwal which falls tomorrow. Unlike previous years where I would usually travel back to Johore and spend the festival days in Muar and Batu Pahat, this year I will be stuck in the Klang Valley. There is no kampung for me to go back to since my beloved grandmother had passed away a few months’ back and so I will just be spending this Eid at home.
No updates from me for the next few days however, in commemoration of this occassion.
On the occassion of the Eid Adha 1428H, the Day of Sacrifice where our liege-lord Abraham, peace be upon him, went through the trials to sacrifice his only begotten son, our liege-lord Ishmael peace be upon him and triumphed over Satan’s temptations, we wish all Muslims (with the exception of the murtadd Islam Liberals) all around the world with Eid Mubarak and a blessed Eid for you and your family. Critical Thoughts will be taking a break for a few days on this occassion.
