Kudos goes to the Muslim brother who directed the video in response to Wilders. This is the kind of “response” that is needed from Muslims, an intellectual response and not one based on emotion.

In brief:

The Muslim Bloggers Alliance (”MBA”) rejects and utterly condemns all manifestations of anti-Islamic sentiments, xenophobia and racist expressions. These include Geert Wilders’ recently screened Islamophobic movie, Fitna (Discord), on the Internet. MBA recognizes the value of freedom of expression but such freedom should not be utilized as a facade for a broader ulterior, xenophobic and bigoted motive.

Fitna is merely but one in a chain of such events. Other examples include the publication of the cartoons in the Danish papers as well as the political machinations of politicians such as Filip Dewinter and Christoph Blocher — both of whom are critical of the building of minarets on mosques.

We also call upon all our members, as well as Muslim ummah in Malaysia and all over the world, to initiate a boycott of Dutch products as a symbol of our dissatisfaction at the insulting nature of Geert Wilders’ video, as well as pressuring the Dutch government to force Wilders to resign from his post as Member of Dutch Parliament.

We implore all Muslims to initiate the economic boycott of Dutch products with immediate effect.

I take this opportunity to announce that I, as well as a few other concerned Muslims, will be working together to start a ‘Boycott Dutch Products’ website which will be launched very soon, insha’allah. The website is in reaction to the anti-Islam Dutch movie “Fitna” (Discord) released by the far-right, Islamophobe Dutch MP, Geert Wilders. Among others, the website is expected to list out products or services offered by Dutch companies that we hope all Muslims will boycott as a sign of our protest and outrage at this blatant abuse and mockery of the religion of Islam and the Holy Qur’an. There will also be a petition for visitors to sign urging the Dutch government to condemn in no uncertain terms the movie and pressure Geert Wilders to resign from his post as MP in Dutch Parliament.

We, the Central Youth Council of the Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS), firmly express our deepest resentment over the production of offensively anti-Islam film “Fitna” by Dutch MP Geert Wilders.

We strongly condemn the airing of the film and demand immediate action by the producer to retrieve the film from public domain. The film is clearly an insult to Islam and maliciously misleads viewers of the true pictures of Islam. As constantly promoted by those anti-Islam ignorant propagators, the film tries to link Islam with terrorism. We would like to firmly reiterates here that Islam do not condone any form of terrorism as we believe that violence begets further violence. Islam principally and fundamentally opposes any form of violence, transgressions and any form of terrorism.
