Critical Thoughts

Recently I had to send my desktop to the shop due it being short-circuited due to a lightning strike. The technician told me that the graphics card and RAM had to be replaced. Calculating the costs, it would amount to around RM1100+ to replace the parts because they were really old (DDR and AGP graphics port). Rather than wasting money doing so, I decided that it would be better to upgrade the system to a more powerful one and and bring it to present times. So the motherboard, processor, casing too were replaced, and the results were….

It does not look bad either. Forked out RM1400+ for this, and its all thanks to the money I earned from problogging and my online company.

I checked my Google Adsense statistics today and was pleasantly surprised by the results. Not too long ago, a former employer derided the effort I put into the site by saying that it is nothing more than a “hobby”. I wish I could show the results that I’ve been getting from the site as of late and see the look on her face.

Now who says da’wah does not pay? Of course this means that I would need to update that site more often, but that is another story.
