UMNO overthrew a Malay MB for a Mamak MB!
I have abandoned UMNO’s race politics since a very long time ago. The memory of my past obsession with “Malay rights” and “Malay supremacy” is thus a distant dream that is best left forgotten. It just occurred to me that there is a very funny irony in UMNO’s successful coup d’etat in Perak. For all their talk about “Daulat Tuanku”, “Ketuanan Melayu” and anything that has the word “Melayu in it, they succeeded in overthrowing a legtimately-elected Malay Menteri Besar from PAS and replaced him with a Tamil-speaking, mamak/Indian Menteri Besar from their own party.
Maybe they should rename themselves to United Mamak National Organisation
