Just married

Now you know where I have been the last couple of weeks. Still busy with married life, so I won’t be around for now. I will be back when I am ready.

I am getting some kicks and literally rolling on the floor laughing when I saw the acronym definition for MENJ. I really do not know how this happened, nor did I play any part in having this definition written, but I am humbled…truly humbled.
But in no way does this mean that I ever considered myself as an “Islamic scholar”. Even if I do achieve that Islamic Studies degree one day (which I am keen on doing later in life, insha’allah!), I will never regard myself as a “scholar”. Because I believe in the Islamic principle that everyone is in a perpetual state of learning and therefore, I would rather be known as a “student of Islamics and Comparative Religion”, rather than “scholar”.
I admit that I haven’t been blogging frequently as of late, but I seem to have a “fan club” going around in my absence.
Naturally I “replied” to these cowards as befitting their rubbish comments about yours truly. I certainly am not going to lose any sleep over annoying pests who don’t even dare to reveal their real names. They can wallow in their hate for all they want. This is precisely the reason why I now have ultimate control of PPS.
My good friend and former classmate at SSI, Kevin Koay, got married recently. He told me that he found this old photo amongst his old collections and it was used as a slide presentation during his wedding. And guess what, someone else was featured prominently in there as well…

Don’t ask me what was I doing in that black goofy hat, I have no idea myself. Kevin is the guy sitting at the desk.

By serendipity I found out that someone is impersonating me by using my usual identity “menj” and using www.ibnjuferi.com as the blog URL. I rarely leave blog comments on blogs that I do not visit often and I have no idea why would anyone want to impersonate me and leave silly and rude comments on other people’s blogs, unless if the intention is to defame my character and give people the impression that I am an uncivilised person.
Take for example this bogus comment by the impersonator:
# menj Says:
May 21st, 2008 at 12:10 amhahaha!
cheapskate customers with cheapskate cars ranting about cheap stuffs!
you know why you are kept waiting? bcos your time is cheap!
go work harder and get a better car…loser
Since that comment was left a few months’ back and I only discovered this yesterday, the damage left by this person on other blogs could be massive. However there are distinct characteristics which prove that I did not write this comment.
