Or can a leopard really drop its spots so easily, simply by coming to power? I, for one, have not forgotten the role that the DAP played in bringing about the riots of 13th May 1969. That aside, one really does wonder what would have happened to this country had the balance of power not been preserved and if the DAP had won all their seats and PKR/PAS were wiped out in the recent general elections. It is most worrying that this indication could be seen in Perak, what with the fuss over the choice of Menteri Besar, songkok-phobia and before the elections, even Jawi-phobia and adhaan-phobia not so long ago.

• TERENGGANU RETAINED BY BN WITH SLIM MAJORITY WITH 2/3RDS MAJORITY

Enough from me for now. I am giddy with excitement, I need some sleep.

Frankly, I am quite speechless. I know that the Opposition (especially PAS) will perform better this time around, but I certainly did not expect it to turn into a massive riot! Its simply amazing when you see the voice of the people translating into votes.

• WAN AZIZAH RETAINS PERMATANG PAUH

You may blow up the Rocket but please send the Eye or the Moon to Parliament in order to defeat BN’s two-thirds majority.
