Confirmed, the fall of Kerajaan Negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan, under Pakatan Rakyat rule.
The office of the Sultan of Perak, in a statement on Wednesday, said that after meeting all the 28 Barisan Nasional assemblymen and the three independents, the Sultan was convinced that Mohammad Nizar had ceased to command the confidence of the majority of the state assembly members.
“If Datuk Seri Ir. Mohammad Nizar bin Jamaluddin does not resign his post as Perak mentri besar together with the members of the state executive council, the posts of mentri besar and state executive councilors are considered vacant,” the statement said.
Truly sad that it had to end this way (waving RM50 million sure does wonders, does it not?), but kudos to Datuk Seri Ir. Nizar Jamaluddin for having steered this state government for this long. It was an interesting 11-month rule, no doubt. Were it not for people from other parties having the tendency to hop, hop hop….it would certainly have lasted much longer.

Judging from the reports that I have been reading since today afternoon at The Malaysian Insider and everywhere else, it is already quite certain that the Pakatan state government will fall and Babi Negara (BN) is set to take over the state through the backdoor. I am not counting on any dissolving of the State Assembly either, as that possibly has dimmed with each passing hour.
And we have those “friends” from PKR and DAP to thank for this “change”. You don’t see any PAS assembymen defecting in this debacle, this whole thing started because of the other two “partners”. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

It was never in doubt that DSAI would win his seat at Permatang Pauh. The question was, by how much? So when I saw the news and the final results shown was around 31K votes, it proves without doubt that the whole BN campaign in the constituency was an utter failure.
Another interesting thing that I should point out that when I watched Astro Awani Analisis for the political commentary on the outcome of the by-election, Suhaimi Sulaiman the executive producer on the ground informed the viewers about what one of the voters in Permatang Pauh said to him.
The voter simply said, “if you go into someone’s house, don’t say bad things about that someone’s son”.

We solved one problem, now a new one crops up:
PKR threatens to pull out of Perak gov’t
Just as one fire has been doused in Perak over the appointment of a PAS man as the new mentri besar post, another one is taking place. PKR has today threatened to pull out from the Perak coalition government on hearing that eight of the 10 executive council posts will go to DAP while the remaining two going to other parties.
Oh great, this is really shitty. The BN boys must be laughing at us now. I reiterate the call for all parties to stop being childish and come back to reality!
