Never thought that this was possible two years ago but its true. We are now officially engaged. I came to her house early at around 5pm to help out with the preparations, then I sped off to the Masjid Jamek Pontian (and to answer a previous question, yes, its the Pontian located before Tanjung Piai) to meet up with my entourage and to bring them there at around 8pm. It all went pretty smoothly I feel. In just an hour the package was upgraded from Girlfriend 1.0 to Fiancee 2.0.
So now that I have no more personal distractions (at least for the time being), you should see me going back to my usual programme for this blog pretty soon.
So I drove all the way to Johor to send my grandmother to Muar and my two cousins to Batu Pahat. After that I drove all the way to Pontian to see her before I make the journey back home. I left home at 2pm on Monday and arrived back home today at 5am.
Not bad I guess for someone who have only recently discovered the joys of long-distance driving. Covering the west coast Johor trial in one day can actually be a rewarding experience. Looks like I will not be taking the bus from now onwards unless absolutely necessary. And I found out that I do like to drive at night. I certainly find it much more easier and less tiring but only if you had ample rest and the mental readiness before embarking on your journey.
