The full story of what really happened can be seen here. Anyway, despite the nasty attacks made on my ownership of PPS by some cyber-extremists, Project Petaling Street is now back from the dead and it has never been better. I couldn’t care less about these idiots who want to campaign for a “boycott” of PPS. I don’t practice censorship and I am not about to start now, but those who think that they “own” PPS should get a dose of reality. This particular anonymous cibai from Penang truly pisses me off. I swear by Allah that if I ever meet him in person, I will resolve to rearrange his face in public for his mean, nasty attacks against me.
I find it particularly funny that these people are clamouring for a return to this drab era:

….when PPS has made the quantum leap forward into the Web 2.0 foray (not only in terms of features but of design as well) and now looks like this:

Are these people blind? I really wonder.

The stage is set for PPS 2.0, complete with new features such as tagging and ping voting (something severely lacking in the current PPS…version 1.2). This time around, we are going to do this overhaul the right way. Once the system has some salient features, we are going to take it to alpha, and then closed beta, and finally an open beta testing before making it go live. For that purpose, we are going to need people who would be willing to test PPS 2.0 in alpha.
Currently, all we have is a development plan. Note that PPS 2.0 Alpha has not been coded yet…but I do want to gauge the interest and short-list a selection of users (not more than 10) who would be willing to test out PPS 2.0 Alpha for us. If you are interested to be an alpha tester, contact me directly. I will list you as a potential tester and once the alpha is ready for testing, I will start giving access to those who have shown interest.

Wow, I didn’t realise that I neglected this blog for a whole month. I have a good reason for that too, as I have been busy with my company and setting up new blogs in various niches. Let’s also not forget the recent server migration change that I did to my latest acquisition (ah, how I like the sound of that!), Project Petaling Street. If you are still reading this, a belated Ramadhan Mubarak to Muslims all over the world that is going into its final ten days phase. Let us not forget that the Night of Power, Lailatul Qadar, is due upon us soon. Insha’allah we will find this Night which is better than a thousand nights combined.
Anyway, I have done a major change to the blog. I took the posts from the former “Ocular Perspectives” which was located at ibnjuferi.net and merged it with Critical Thoughts. I’ve decided that having two blogs with similar topics is a bit…well, weird. As for the .net domain itself, I’ve now turned it into the official domain name for Blogging For Money, hence discarding the .info TLD that I’ve wanted to get rid of for so long.
My little online empire has grown to 40 domains now, I am very proud of it. Only two years ago, I was a struggling blogger with only two domain names and barely making a minimum from the internet. Today, I am making quite enough to sustain my daily living. I sure have progressed far these days.

I am very much fully aware of the attempts of some people to promote a relatively-new blog aggregator as the “competitor” of PPS. Never mind the fact that its features are very similar to ping.sg and offers nothing new in that regard. I have nothing personally against that blog aggregator (no need to mention its name here), by the way: I do use it myself and I have indeed found the backend intriguing and exciting. In fact, I am considering using some of its features as inspiration for the “future PPS”, which will radically change the way of how the current PPS work.
But I am digressing.

Yes, some people just simply can’t spell. Look closely and tell me if you can see a dash (“-”) in VCTech Network?

Even if you are so patheticly stooping so low as to call for a “boycott” against PPS (as if I am even going to be bothered by it in the first place!), at least have some sense to spell the company’s name properly! The name is VCTECH NETWORK, not “VC-Tech Network”.
Sheesh.
