  • Sudden “change” of hosting companies

This blog was down during the weekend because the host suddenly suspended it due to non-payment. Initially I was shocked and I thought that the host company had ran off on me. Fortunately the suspension page had a redirection link which took me to a UK hosting site that I have never seen before. Enter FastHost4U UK.

Turns out that they suspended the account because the monthly payment of £5.99 was not paid. I am really puzzled as to how a yearly account could suddenly turn into a monthly account. But the price was cheap, considering the hosting specs. So I agreed to pay for it and I did exactly that last night.

So now it seems that instead of a Canadian company, I am now attached to a UK one. LOL, this is truly funny!

The new server datacenter will be based in the US, and since it is a privately-owned dedicated server, performance will be much better than before. Paying for the cost of the server is quite considerable, but at least it didn’t force me to apply for payday loans online in order to maintain it.
