Muslims are now officially more numerous than the half-naked man worshippers from the Catholic sect.
Islam has surpassed Roman Catholicism as the world’s largest religion, the Vatican newspaper said Sunday.
“For the first time in history, we are no longer at the top: Muslims have overtaken us,” Monsignor Vittorio Formenti said in an interview with the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano. Formenti compiles the Vatican’s yearbook.
He said that Catholics accounted for 17.4 percent of the world population — a stable percentage — while Muslims were at 19.2 percent.
Good. That’ll teach ‘em. So much for the recent Fitna….it sure didn’t stop the tide.

Still overjoyed and cannot get over the euphoria and “high” over the massive Opposition (now Government) of the Barisan Alternatif in five states. This propaganda piece by Zahid Hamidi which I happen to come across certainly sounds so hollow now.
Quoting from him:
They come up with baseless accusations and allegations to run down leaders hoping that by doing so they will be able to sway the voters to their side. The opposition also takes advantage of petty economic issues, the rise in prices, allocation of projects and local issues at the campaign venues. The opposition pact is established to utilise each other’s strength within the pact. However, the partnership is temporary in nature.
“Petty economic issues”, he says. Most unfortunately for him, it certainly does seem to work well in denying BN a two-thirds majority in Parliament.

Being “overjoyed” at this unexpected and wonderful victory is an understatement. Ecstatic, for the lack of a better word, would be a more apt description. Winning Kedah and retaining Kelantan was the most optimistic thing to be expected out of the General Elections (at least, for me). But bagging Selangor and Perak is truly a very huge bonus. For the first time in history, we are going to see Menteri Besar which are not from the National Front. Three from PAS and one from Keadilan. Not also forgetting one Chief Minister from a certain political party as well, but that is a different story altogether.
Selamat, Aman, Makmur? Bah, forget it. Its Negara Berkebajikan now!
