  • Thais beat us in auto industry

What can I say? There’s really little to comment after reading such a depressing revelation:

Mustapa admits Thailand trumped Malaysia in auto sector
    By Lee Wei Lian

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Mustapa Mohamed admitted today that the Thai auto industry had surpassed Malaysia’s despite entering the game at a later stage.

He also urged national carmaker Proton to find a strategic partner without which he said, it would find it “almost impossible” to survive in the global market.

“It is true that Thailand has done better and started later,” he replied at a press conference when asked to compare Malaysia to Thailand.

The time is ripe for a regime change. People First, Performance Now? My arse.

    1. In other word, Mahathir started Proton not to create an auto industry in Malaysia but to create the AP mechanism for his and UMNO cronies. Secondly , it was used to siphon out money..lots of it from Malaysian citizen's pocket into proton ( in exchange for a lousy, expensive and defective car) which later those monies will be drained by mahathir's and UMNO cronies. So all in all, there's no such thing as an auto industry in Malaysia. There is only a "Get rich scheme" by Mahathir and UMNO …stealing malaysian hard earned monies fronted by Proton. "Bersih, Cekap, Amanah really means mahathir is really screwing the Malaysian people, right, left and centre! Now Najib is doing the same with his 1Malaysia….
