The Muslim reaction to Xmas

December 24th, 2007

What should be the Muslim reaction to Christmas? The Islamic view of Christmas is very clear on this point. There can of course only be one answer, and it is contained in Surah Al-Ikhlaas, which is as follows:

Say: “He is Allah, the One and only,
Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute,
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him.” (Qur’an, 112: 1-4)

And do not let anyone tell you that there should be “tolerance” to this pagan festival, because this involves an act of Shirik, and the punishment of Shirik is only one, which is An-Narr, a painful torment indeed for those who associate God with another in worship. May God keep us away from His wrath and we remain in our Imaan. Ameen.

  1. I respect those whom can respect my religion…and don’t condemn what we celebrate.

Sad that you, as a Malaysian think this way.

    Merry Christmas.

[MENJ: Unfortunately for you, Islam does not make compromises when it comes to the sin of shirik.]

  2. So I’m curious, you plan to eventually join politics, but, when you cannot be fair to all races, then don’t you feel it’s rather hypocritical?

    -Curious

[MENJ: My religious principles on Christmas is not going to prevent me to be fair to all people, regardless of religion.]

P.S. And yes, ‘tolerating’ other people’s festivals (especially one as important as Christmas) is not something you should impose unto yourself, but something that should come naturally. Unfortunately, you’ve failed in this aspect.

[MENJ: And where in this post have I addressed the Christians? I am addressing the MUSLIMS ONLY, asshole.]

  3. Merry Christmas Uncle Scrooge! Peace be with you!!

[MENJ: I am not a miser, and Charles Dicken's fictional character is hardly what I would call "Christian". Just goes to show how you pseudo-monotheists are straying far apart from the Bible.]
