Yes, we are extremists
If someone were to ask me, “are Muslims extremists”, my answer now would be an emphatic YES! But certainly not in the negative connotations that people associate with “extremism”. Dr. Zakir Naik gave a good answer on why we Muslims are “extremists”:
They ask me the definitions of jihad, fundamentalist, terrorist and extremist. When people ask me if Muslims are extremists, I tell them yes. We are extremely honest, extremely loving, and extremely just.
In light of the above, then yes, I am proud to say that I am an “extremist”.

Hmmmm - nice. but then, how do you do the “extremely” part in being honest, loving and just? I thought that being honest is just that - being honest. There is no extremely inside, it is either honest or lying. The same for loving or just.
It sounds like, “I am totally pregnant” or “I am totally innocent”.
Interesting. It simply sticks out. Like, when Bill Clinton said “I didn’t have sex with THAT women.”
Similar. To me, these are the words that awake me and I wonder what is going on inside the client’s mind, when they use those ’stand-out’ words. And I ask them just those questions. How do you know you are extremely honest vis-a-vis ‘normal’ honest.
It is not just a game of words, but this is how we code it in our mind.
Thanks for the entry, so, at least I have some more examples of for the linguistic part of my training.
